John the Valiant

Dance performance

While ’Johnny Corn’ hugs Iluska by the riverbank, the flock of sheep he is supposed to watch over, scatters. Johnny is chased from the village by his master. While he wanders, he meets rogues, giants, joins the company of hussar cavarlymen, he fights in a war where he saves the daughter of the french king, sneeks on the witches’ meeting and even slays a dragon so he can finally step into the Land of Fairies where he can take his sweetheart into his arsm again. The playful performance brings the world of dance, theatre and poet Sándor Petőfi’s classic work closer to children in this performance filled with adventures.

First performance: 6th March 2019
